Buddha path is the outcome of Khenpo Ngawang Sangay’s vision to create a group dedicated to the study, practice, and preservation of Buddha’s teachings and to honour the ancient spirit of Nalanda traditional.
His devotion and spiritual link to Many different teachers.
Khenpo Ngawang Sangay received his early education in the local school. Later he joined the famous Guru Padmasambhava’s maratika cave monastery in Halesi. There he began his monastic training in Buddhist liturgies and completed his preliminary practice under the tutelage of Trulshik Rinpoche.
In 1998 he joined Karmae Shri Nalanda Institute, the principal monastic college of His Holiness Gyalwang Karmapa. During his stay at the institute. Apart from the eleven years of courses in Buddhist philosophy. Logic, Grammar and basic Sanskrit, Hindi and English Language. He also served the institute in various capacities. He was sent as one of the annual Taenshab ( Debating Assistants) of the present 17th Karmapa in 2003. H.E Goshir Gyaltsab Rinpoche appointed him Disciplinarian Master of Karma Shri Nalanda Institute from 2007- 2008 and currently works as Lopon(Lecture) in the Karma Shri Nalanda Institute, Rumtek.
In 2008, He graduated from Karmae Shri Nalanda Institute for Higher Buddhist Studies, Rumtek Sikkim India and obtained his Acharya (M.A) Master’s degree.
According to the request of Ven Lama Tenpai Gyaltsen Rinpoche in 2009 H.E 12th Goshir Gyaltsab Rinpoche appointed and sent him as the Khenpo (Abbot) of karma Drubchen Choling monastery and also gave numerous teachings on Buddhism.
In 2012 H.H. Karmapa Orgyen Trinley Dorje appointed his representative resident khenpo at New Zealand.
